The 200-bed campus required a solution to prevent power disruptions that could impact over 1,800 staff and 62,000 veterans relying on essential medical services. Additionally, <strong>rising energy costs<\/strong> and<strong> limited funding<\/strong> posed financial constraints, making it difficult to implement necessary upgrades without increasing taxpayer burden. We provided comprehensive energy supply and distribution solutions, including operations and maintenance, design and engineering, construction, and project management.<\/h3>\r\n<p>Facility Upgrades: 3.4 MW of electric generation to ensure reliable power supply and reduce dependency on external sources. Heat Recovery Steam Generator to improve energy efficiency by utilizing waste heat for steam production. 2 package steam boilers to provide additional capacity and reliability in steam generation. 100,000 pounds per hour of steam production to meet the hospital&#8217;s extensive heating and sterilization needs. 3,000 tons per hour of chilled water to support critical cooling systems for hospital operations. Dual-Fuel Capability to enhance energy security by allowing flexibility in fuel sources. Upgrades and modifications to HVAC control systems to optimize energy use and improve climate control across the campus. Chilled water system replacements to maximize energy and cooling effectiveness. New steam plant to modernize heating infrastructure and improve efficiency.
